• THE UTAH RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL will hold auditions Saturday, 1-3 p.m., at the Southwest Branch of the Weber County Library, 1950 W. 4800 South, Roy. The festival takes place May 9-11 and 16-18 in Marriott-Slaterville, near Ogden.
Festival organizers seek jugglers, musicians, dancers, carvers, etc. Beginners welcome. Children younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent at the audition and also during the festival. Auditioners should bring a headshot and resume.
There will be another audition Saturday, Jan. 26, at an as-yet-to-be-determined site in Salt Lake City. For details, visit www.utahrenfest.com.
