Concert to benefit family
The Hall family lost their father to a tragic accident last October.
After his truck rolled down a mountain pass off the Nebo Loop, Hall and his 6-year-old son, Braxton, hiked 10-15 miles to get help.
Hall, 33, who was recently laid off, was sent home from the hospital to wait for surgery for a compress fractured vertebra in his back. He never woke up the next morning, leaving a wife and five children with no life or health insurance.
"We all go through times in life when we need an extra hand, but there are those few insurmountable experiences that require the support of an entire community," said Jessica Wycherly, friend and benefit concert organizer. "This is one of those times for the Hall family."
Concert participants include Peter Breinholt, local blue-grass band Miles to Go and Alex Boye.
Auctioneer Kevin Gallagher will conduct the live auction, which includes bidding on a night's stay at Hotel Park City, Utah Grizzlies hockey tickets, an autographed basketball by the Utah Jazz, golfing packages, food and entertainment, art and numerous other products and services donated by local businesses.
Anyone interested in helping the Hall family who is not able to attend the concert may contribute to the Jim Hall Children's Fund at Zions Bank by calling 801-465-2502 or mailing checks to Zions Bank at P.O. Box 365 Payson, UT 84651.
