• "Orem Arts Council Presents," an introductory to a monthly series of cultural arts events hosted by the Council at the Orem Public Library 55 N. State, at 6:30 p.m. It will feature a reception, short lecture and walking art tour with local artist and educator Max Dickson Weaver, whose ceramic work is on display at the library. Free.

Saturday, Jan. 19

• Camp Floyd's sesquicentennial with author /historian Curtis Allen. Lecture begins at 1 p.m. at the old Fairfield Schoolhouse. The Camp Floyd/Stagecoach Inn museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission: $2/$6 family. Camp Floyd is located 22 miles southwest of Lehi on state Route 73. Call 768-8932.
