• Two new murals by David Koch have been unveiled in the House of Representatives Chamber of the Utah State Capitol. The murals feature Seraph Young, the first woman to vote in the state of Utah, and the Engen brothers, who were instrumental in establishing the ski industry in the state. The renovated Capitol is now open to the public for tours.
• Local teen artists Adriann Agle, David Atkinson, Barbara Liau, Anna McCarty and Jane Seulgee Hwang are among 30 students worldwide whose works were selected for display as part of the Advanced Placement Program Studio Art exhibit at the Savannah College of Art and Design's Atlanta gallery. The exhibit runs through Jan. 28 and then moves to Chicago and then Newport Beach, Calif.
• The Sandy Watercolor Club will meet Thursday evening at 6:30 at the Sandy Senior Center building, 9310 S. 1300 East. Dale Minson will give a lecture/demonstration on the technique he uses with wet-on-wet painting with a dry brush. For more information contact Bobbie at 259-3435.
• The Brigham City Fine Arts Center, 58 S. 100 West, will host a three-week art journaling workshop by David Prevedel beginning Jan. 23 and running through Feb. 6.
