Jazz not in panic mode just yet

By the time for practice Wednesday morning, Sloan seemed more confident that there indeed is ample opportunity — ample time — for the Jazz to fight through the frame and put themselves squarely back in the West's postseason snapshot.

"I think it's a reachable goal," said Sloan, whose club reached last season's Western Conference finals. "But we have to play.

"There are not going to be any teams that give us games, and there are a lot of good teams, and we've got a lot of tough games to play," he added. "We've got to lay ourselves out there, every day."

Especially when the opponent is the quality of Phoenix, which was 24-10 heading into Wednesday's home game against Indiana.

"I believe we can play against anybody — if we come with a full load, if everybody comes and lays it out there," Sloan said when asked if the Jazz were confident they can hang with teams like the Suns. "(Tuesday night), our bench played well. Everybody played pretty well. That's what you have to have. You can't have just two or three guys trying to do the job and win the game."
