Domestic violence homicides in 2007
• Jan. 15: Yuki Yoshida, 26, died in an SUV that was driven off a cliff by Yu-Shang Lin, 66, in Monument Valley. A National Park Service report described a sexual relationship between the two. Yoshida sought to end the relationship, but agreed to meet him in Utah, where they died.
• Jan. 23: Lisa Pouha, 40, was stabbed to death in her Salt Lake City home. Her husband, Sione Talanoa, was convicted in her slaying. The UDVC said the couple had a history of domestic violence.
• March 26: A 47-year-old Salt Lake City woman died in a fire she set in her own apartment after a fight with her ex-husband. Police were called to her place the night before. The UDVC considers it a "domestic violence-related death."
• April 6: Nathan Harris, 24, died when he was stabbed to death by his girlfriend, Monika Ann Dilmaghanian, during an argument near Causey Reservoir in Weber County. Dilmaghanian was later convicted in the slaying.
• Aug. 29: Kimberly Burnette, 41, was shot to death in a motel room in Bicknell, Wayne County. Her husband, Matthew Keller, 42, was also found dead. Authorities concluded it was a murder-suicide.
• Oct. 3: Lynn Richards, 52, was found dead inside her upscale Draper home by a handyman. Police also found the body of her husband, Daniel Richards, 55. Authorities said it appeared to be a murder suicide. The UDVC said police were called to the home on a dispute the night before, but found nothing.
• Oct. 3: Patricia Rothermich, 64, was hit and killed while walking down the street in her Holladay neighborhood. Her husband, Sherman Lynch III, was later arrested in connection with her death and is facing multiple charges, including murder.
• Oct. 4: Police said Crystal Tijerina, 23, shot her ex-husband and then killed herself. Her ex-husband survived.
• Oct. 17: Alefonsio Scanlan, 55, stabbed his wife Kathy as she slept in their Sandy home. She called 911 and survived. He stabbed himself to death.
• Dec. 1: Timothy McEnaney, 30, was shot to death inside a Beaver restaurant as he ate dinner with Danielle Olsen. Her ex-husband, Mark Erickson, is facing murder charges. Beaver County Sheriff's deputies said his two children were in a truck in the parking lot when the murder occurred. Erickson is facing criminal charges.
• Dec. 21: Manuel Saucedo, 21, was shot and killed in an Orem home. Police have named his roommate, Raul Brito, as a suspect in the slaying.
• Dec. 30: Sarah Thomas, 52, is expected to survive after being stabbed several times by her estranged husband at her Millcreek home. Benjamin Thomas, 60, was found dead in the carport. He hanged himself.
