BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) An avalanche swept a group of five snowmobilers several hundred feet down a northwest Washington mountain, killing two, authorities said.
The body of the second snowmobiler was found Wednesday after the avalanche the day before on Church Mountain.
The body of a 63-year-old man was recovered Wednesday, while the body of a 43-year-old woman was retrieved Tuesday, the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office said. Two other people were unharmed, and a third had a minor leg injury.
