The mail-in voter registration deadline for the Western Presidential Primary Election is Monday.
"Registering to vote by mail is the most convenient way to register," said Sherrie Swensen, Salt Lake County clerk. "After this deadline, individuals who are not already registered to vote and wish to participate in the Feb. 5 Western Presidential Primary Election will need to register by appearing in person in the clerk's office on or before January 29."
The Western Presidential Primary Election is a political party candidate nominating function. Ballot choice is determined by party affiliation.
A new online voter registration is available at www.clerk.slco.org. However, this form requires a signature and so it must be printed and postmarked by Jan. 7.
More information on voter registration or party affiliation in Salt Lake County is available by calling the clerk's election division at 468-3427.
