DELTA A 15-year-old boy was killed when a pickup rolled in Millard County.
The Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened Thursday afternoon on state Route 6 and 50, near Delta. The 1998 Dodge pickup was being driven by a 16-year-old boy, with the 15-year-old passenger.
"The vehicle went off the left shoulder of the road, and the rear tire caught a cement ditch," UHP Trooper Cameron Roden said Friday. "The driver tried to steer back to the right and the vehicle began to roll. Both occupants were ejected."
As the pickup rolled, it hit a telephone pole, troopers said. The UHP said Dustin Wright, of Hinckley, was killed. The 16-year-old is hospitalized in serious condition. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
