PROVO The buttons that double as tickets to Provo's First Night New Year's Eve celebration are on sale.
First Night 2008 will begin at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31 and conclude at midnight at the Provo Towne Centre, 1200 Towne Centre Blvd.
Buttons can be purchased now at the Parks and Recreation Department, 351 W. Center, and at the Provo Towne Centre customer service desk.
Buttons are $4 for adults and children 16 and over, and $3 for children 13 and under. Admission is free for children 5 and under.
All tickets cost an additional $1 on Dec. 31.
First Night activities include children's crafts, balloon artists, trike races, rock-climbing wall, Guitar Hero competitions, Dance Dance Revolution and a karaoke competition called First Night Star.
The festivities also include country, top 40 and big band dances. The Jets, a local band with national hits in the 1980s, will perform at 10:15 p.m.
