PROVO — The Democratic Women of Utah County will hold their annual holiday luncheon meeting on Tuesday at noon at the Riverside Country Club, 2701 N. University Ave. Alan Harrison will be providing the entertainment.
The cost is $15 per person and is open to the public. Those attending should RSVP by contacting Lou Ann Talcott at 801-489-9681 or Kena Mathews at 801-735-2005.

In search of a Memorial Day column, I wandered into Memory Grove (who said columnists can't grasp the obvious?) and as I walked by the various war monuments, I came upon the best-looking structure there: the Meditation Chapel, which might have been transplanted straight from Athens.
