The second session of the Deseret Morning News/KSL Ski and Snowboard School will take place on Saturday.

Skiers will meet at Alta at 9 a.m. and snowboarders at Snowbird. There are two sessions of snowboard classes at Snowbird, the first at 9 a.m. and the second at 1 p.m. Students have been assigned to a specific session.

The school was to have started on Nov. 17. Snowbird was able to hold a dry-land, snow session on that date. Alta had to delay the skier class until last Saturday. Snowbird, because of limited runs open last week, has to delay its second class until Saturday.

Students for the snowboard classes will meet near the main lodge on the Chickadee run. Skiers should return to the upper parking area at Alta.

The schedule is for both skiers and snowboarders to meet for the second of three lessons on Saturday. The school will wrap up on Dec. 15.

Both skiers and snowboarders are advised to dress for cold weather and to bring all of their equipment.

This is the 60th year for the winter program.
