The 100% for Kids Credit Union Education Foundation has awarded $6,209 to two schools in Salt Lake City School District — $1,209 to Dilworth Elementary and $5,000 to Edison Elementary.

Dilworth Elementary, 1953 S. 2100 East, will use the grant to purchase world history maps and atlases.

Edison Elementary, 466 Cheyenne St., will use the money to purchase reading books for kindergarten classrooms.

The foundation has awarded more than $4 million in grants to Utah schools since its inception in 2002. For information, call 801-887-2329 or visit www.100percentforkids.com.
