Olympus students clear first round of challenge

Olympus Junior High students have netted $3,000 in scholarships and grants for themselves and their school in the Lexus Environmental Challenge.

The OJH World Environmental Managers are among 14 teams in the country to clear the first round of the contest that encourages development and implementation of environmental programs to improve their communities. The team organized a park cleanup for the first of four challenges. They now can compete for one of two $75,000 grand prizes.
