Corroon and several Democrats on the County Council publicly criticized the district attorney for reporting a different number of felonies filed than the state courts were reporting.
Miller said she used projections for the year when reporting her statistics to the council, while the state courts only report what has been actually been filed so far this year.
No matter what happened in this case, statistics can be misleading, Councilman Joe Hatch said.
"I don't think she was lying. But Winston Churchill said there is three kinds of lies: lies, damnable lies and statistics," Hatch said. "And I think she was using statistics."
