The Utah Watercolor Society will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday evening at 7 at Historic Wheeler Farm, 6351 S. 900 East. Utrech Art store in Sugar House will feature a demonstration of materials and techniques in painting in water media. Participants will also have a chance to exchange small, 5-by-7-inch paintings with fellow members. The event is open and free to the public.

The Utah Arts Council's Public Art Program announces a call for artists qualifications for the creation of site-specific public art for the new Elizabeth Dee Shaw Stewart Arts and Humanities Building (Elizabeth Hall) on the Weber State University campus in Ogden. The St. George Art Festival is now accepting applications for artists wanting to participate in the 2008 festival. Applications are available online at www.sgcity.org/artfestival or by calling 435-627-4500.

Art at the Main, 210 E. 400 South (on the ground floor of the Main City Library), will hold its first gallery stroll Friday evening from 6-9.

The Utah Arts Council has selected Adam Bateman of Salt Lake and Eileen Doktorski of Logan as winners of the 2008 Visual Arts Fellowships. Each recipient receives a $10,000 prize and will be recognized at an exhibition in March 2009 at the Rio Gallery.

Toquerville Clay, 143 N. Toquer Blvd., Toquerville, will have its fifth annual Holiday Art Sale this Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Participating potters are Shane Christensen, Brian Jensen, Noel Logan, Lorna Meaden, Dan Murphy, Joe Singewald and Russell Wrankle.
