Tuesday's snow storm left between 4 and 14 inches of snow in Utah's prime ski areas, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.
One area at 8,799 feet in the Alta Ski Area received the most snow, totaling 14 inches. Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort and other areas in Big Cottonwood Canyon received 10 inches, while Solitude Mountain Resort reported 7 inches, according to the NWS.
Alta Ski Area is scheduled to open Friday. Brighton Ski Resort, The Canyons Resort, Park City Mountain Resort, Snowbasin Resort, Solitude Mountain Resort and Wolf Mountain have already opened
Elsewhere in Utah during Tuesday's storm, Coalville received about two inches of snow and Echo Dam received an inch and a half. Layton and Spanish Fork both reported about an inch of snow along with rain. Ogden also received about an inch, and Tooele about two inches.
NWS meteorologists predicted warming temperatures for today with a buildup of high clouds. Tonight, the I-80 corridor may see a light flurry of snow.
Snowy conditions may return to Utah over the weekend, but the first of next week is expected to be warm, according to the NWS.
