The number of Utah college students studying abroad jumped 21 percent from the 2004-05 school year to 2005-06. The number of students at Utah institutions who studied abroad in 2005-06:

• Brigham Young University — 1,637

• University of Utah — 512

• Utah State University — 219

• Weber State University — 122

• Utah Valley State College — 106

• Salt Lake Community College — 22

• Other — 151
