Capital Community Bank is planning a new branch in Salem. The bank said the new building will be adjacent to, and will replace, the existing the branch.
Groundbreaking will happen in the first quarter of 2008, with the grand opening projected in the summer.
The new branch will be a full-service location with a drive-up and ATM. The company has other full-service offices in Orem, Provo and Pleasant Grove.

A better hiring outlook and lower gas prices pushed a measure of U.S. consumer confidence to its highest level in four and a half years.
