84 Lumber to open West Jordan store, plant

84 Lumber will have the grand opening of the company's new West Jordan store and component manufacturing plant today.

The company is a privately held supplier of building materials and services to professional contractors.

The store, 6404 S. Airport Road, features a 3,000-square-foot showroom, 2,700-square-foot office space, 36,000-square-foot storage facility and 24,000 square feet of exterior storage sheds on the 9.5-acre property. The store employs 16 people.

The component manufacturing facility, 6428 S. Airport Road, includes 5,000 square feet of office space, a 24,000-square-foot factory and 24,000 square feet of exterior storage sheds. The plant, which will produce trusses and panels, employs 19.
