On Friday, Dec. 7, Art at the Main, a nonprofit artist co-op, will host a Meet the Artists Open House and Featured Artist Show at the Main Library, 210 E. 400 South, for artist and founder Joy Nunn. The entire Urban Room will be open Friday evening from 6-9 p.m., so visitors can enjoy the exhibit at Art at the Main and browse the other shops found at Library Square.
In addition, the Friends of the Library will host a small used-book sale, and the animated version of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" will be shown in the Nancy Tessman Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. The library will not be open to the public on Gallery Stroll nights.
Gallery Stroll is sponsored by the Salt Lake Gallery Association, a partnership of independently owned and operated art galleries, visual arts-related businesses and sponsors. It takes place on the third Friday of each month except in December when it is the first Friday. On Jan. 18, Art at the Main will feature "Seasonal Inspirations," an exhibit by co-op artists. Feb. 15 the featured artist will be Joan Zone, whose exhibit runs from Feb. 11-March 15.
