Utah's Catholic bishop, John Wester, recently spoke out in favor of our government treating illegal immigrants more humanely. He said, "No person is illegal in God's eyes." While I have much respect for Bishop Wester, I think he needs to modify his approach and acknowledge that many have entered this country illegally and obtained services that drain financial resources. Any nation has a right to secure its sovereignty. We in the United States need to focus more on our national "unity" and assure that those people inside our borders abide legally by making their abode here legal.
