Cultural center in West Valley offers 4 concerts

WEST VALLEY CITY — The Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley City is presenting four free concerts as part of its third annual Winter Concert Series.

The concerts will take place on Nov. 26 and Dec. 3, 6 and 18 at 7 p.m. and will feature Celtic, Hawaiian, Andean and German music.

Celtic group Banshee in the Kitchen will perform at the center, located at 1355 W. 3100 South, on Nov. 26. Folk music group Salzburger Echo will perform old-world and contemporary folk music from Germany, Austria and Switzerland on Dec. 3. The group features alphorns, Swiss cowbells and yodelin, and is one of the most sought-after Alpine bands in the nation.

On Dec. 6, Jerome Grey will perform jazz, calypso and country music. Los Hermanos de los Andes will end the concert series with a sampling of traditional Andean music, featuring panpipes, whistles and drums.
