BYU 35, Wyoming 10

PLAYER OF THE GAME

Threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns on 26-for-37 passing and is now the MWC's all-time leading sophomore passer.

PLAY OF THE GAME

With the ball on BYU's 8 and a third-and-12 situation in the second quarter, Max Hall scrambles through the Cougars' end zone, evading Wyoming defenders before eventually finding an open Austin Collie for a 20-yard pick-up. The Cougars continue marching downfield and go up 14-0 on Hall's 3-yard TD pass to Matt Allen.

KEY CALL

BYU wins the coin toss and defers to the second half. This pays off because the Cougars hold Wyoming on its first possession and then score on their first drive to negate Wyoming's early advantage. BYU then makes the choice look all the smarter by scoring a touchdown on the first series of the third.

QUOTABLE

"A conference championship was one of their goals from the very beginning." — Bronco Mendenhall, BYU head coach
