PROVO Provo Mayor Lewis Billings has scheduled a press conference for 3 p.m. to reveal what he called "the most significant economic development announcement ever in the history of Provo."
City leaders have remained tight-lipped about the project, declining Thursday morning to tell state Legislators about it because media were present at a breakfast with the Provo City Council.
The only details revealed so far by sources are that the project involves retail. One source called it the city's biggest announcement since the Provo Towne Centre mall.
The press conference will be held at the Covey Center for the Arts, 425 W. Center.
