With the Leonid Meteor Shower just two days away, the American West Heritage Center, Wellsville, is hosting a free stargazing party tonight at 9 p.m., where Jim Davis of Utah State University will explain different constellations and American Indian astronomy tidbits.
The center's relative rural isolation provides a good backdrop for stargazing. There will also be children's activities and storytelling. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own telescopes, binoculars and blankets (www.awhc.org).
