I was amused and amazed at the story on Sandy city trying to improve its image (Nov. 12). The article mentions a tarnished image from the Real-Checketts-Dolan fiasco and the gravel pit development. Mayor Tom Dolan caused the image problem with assistance from Utah first lady Mary Kaye Huntsman and their legislative lap dogs. I think the city should consider a truth in advertising billboard that reads: "Beware, special interest funding mayor in charge."
Another article a couple of weeks ago suggested our philanthropic mayor now wants to subsidize the aquarium pipe dream.
