Utah Valley State

MEN'S BASKETBALL: Utah Valley travels to Milwaukee tonight to take on No. 12 Marquette. The Wolverines are coming off a 73-72 loss in overtime at Boise State. UVSC then plays at

Arkansas State on Wednesday.

Southern Utah

GOLF: Matt McArthur tied the course record at the 6,580-yard, par 72 Indian Canyons Golf Club Sunday to move up five spots and finish in a three-way tie for third place at the Agua-Caliente Air Force Invitational. McArthur's finish helped Southern Utah move up a spot as well as the Thunderbirds finished fourth, at 814, 27 shots off the pace of team champion Colorado State. Denver was second at 804, followed by Nortern Iowa at 805, SUU, Hartford (815), Utah Valley State (827), Weber State (831), Air Force (840), Utah State (852), SUU's B team (853) and Air Force's B team (885).

SLCC

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Salt Lake CC Bruins (1-2) lost to No. 3 Midland College Chaparrals 66-44 on Saturday. SLCC kept the game close at half down by only seven , but were

out scored 36 to 21 in the second half. SLCC is off until Nov. 23-34 at the College of Southern Idaho Tournament

Westminster

VOLLEYBALL: At Billings, Mont., it was a battle but in the end Lewis-Clark State came away with the Frontier Conference title with a four-game win over Westminster. The Griffins hung around all night and nearly upset the top-seeded Warriors. The match saw a combined 249 digs with Westminster libero Bree Riet led all players with 34. Ali Culp recorded 18 kills and 21 digs. She also served up four aces. Westminster next heads for Spokane, Wash. and the Region I Tournament with play beginning on Thursday.
