Chad Willson
PLAY OF THE GAME
Gavin Green's improbable 49-yard TD run should have been a 14-yard sack. Instead he broke a pair of tackles behind the line of scrimmage and several more down field on a run that probably covered 140 yards and put Layton ahead 14-7.
KEY CALL
Trailing 7-0 in the second quarter, Layton coach Jim Batchelor decided to go for it on a fourth down and six. He was rewarded when Gavin Green completed a 19-yard pass to Haden Lomax, setting up a James Adams' touchdown run four plays later.
QUOTABLE
"That was amazing, it almost brought a tear to my eye." Chad Willson, Layton captain on Gavin Green's go-ahead 49-yard TD
