Comic conference is set

"Comic Book Literature 101" is the theme for the inaugural Comic Book Conference 2007 at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the Salt Lake City Library, 210 E. 400 South.

Presenters will include "Archie" comics artist Bill Galvan, DC Comics Group editor Shelly Bond, educator Robyn A. Hill (author of "The Secret Origin of Good Readers") and other experts from the comic-book field.

There will also be workshops on how teachers and librarians can utilize comic books in their classrooms and libraries (www.night-flight.com/events.htm).
