PROVO The annual Brigham Young University/University of Utah food drive is gearing up. Donations will be accepted until the football game Saturday, Nov. 24.
In one of the friendlier rivalries between BYU and the U., the event raises money for Utah's needy. All proceeds will be given to Community Action Services of Utah County for local food banks. Beginning Saturday, donation bins will be placed throughout the BYU campus as well as at the Macey's store in Provo. Y Marks for $1 each will be available at the BYU Bookstore, the BYU creameries and Del Taco or may be purchased online at studentalumni.byu.edu.
The Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni and Visitors Center on the BYU campus will also accept money and cash donations at its tailgate party that begins three hours prior to the Nov. 24 game at the Hinckley Center. Donations will not be accepted at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
