SARATOGA SPRINGS — United Way of Utah County Women in Philanthropy will hold a fund-raising gala on Saturday at Talon's Cove in Saratoga Springs. Cost of the event is $100 per person or $800 for a table of eight. The event will benefit United Way's focus area of "Preparing Children to Succeed in School and Beyond," which is focused on ensuring that every Utah County child has a real chance to succeed.

United Way of Utah County Women in Philanthropy was established in October 2006 to provide a place for Utah County women to create change in their community through philanthropy and leadership. Across the nation, United Ways had been forming similar groups, and United Way of Utah County wanted to create a place for Utah County women to come together and make a difference.
