As young boys, Nathan Osmond and his brothers, who perform as The Osmonds — Second Generation, were able to spend time with their grandfather while living and performing in Branson, Mo.

At that time Nathan Osmond, Alan Osmond's son, promised his grandfather a song.

Through his tears Tuesday, Nathan recounted the first performance of that song and the words.

"It's called 'I Can Still Dance in the Rain.' The first time it was ever performed was for Grandpa," Nathan said. "The chorus talks about my grandpa."

The chorus:

"If this old world should crumble and if the heavens fall,
I'll be sure to go out laughing,
Ya, I'll be standing tall.
When the world thinks that I'm crazy,
When they swear I've gone insane,
I can still dance in the rain."
