The snowboard portion of the Deseret Morning News Ski and Snowboard School is full. No more applications will be accepted this year. There are still a few entries open for ski school.

The ski and snowboard classes are on Nov. 17 and Dec. 1 and 8. Skiers will go to Alta and snowboarders to Snowbird.

There will be no class on Thanksgiving weekend. Cost of the three classes is $35. Only cash and checks accepted.

The ski school is intended for first-time skiers. Instruction ranges from learning to walk to making linked turns on a gentle slope. Each class runs for about two hours.

Canyon Sports is offering a special rental program to skiers. They can pick up equipment prior to the Nov. 17 class and not return it until after the Dec. 8 class. The four-week rental fee is $31.

Skiers can register at any of the three Canyon Sports locations or at Deseret Morning News offices, 30 E. 100 South. Store locations are 1844 E. Fort Union Blvd. (7000 South), 517 S. 200 West or 45 W. 10600 South.

For information, call 237-2135 or 942-3100.
