I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the picture and article about bicycle safety on Sunday, Nov. 4, on B6. The pictures shows bicyclists wearing silly sumo blow-up outfits. In one picture they are riding four across, all of them have their hands in the air, and one of them is out of the bike lane forcing a car to the edge of his lane. It doesn't look very safe to me. My children will be in a whole lot of trouble if they ever ride their bikes like that. Nice try, but it should be titled "What not to do when promoting bike safety." Oh well, I think I'll send it to Jay Leno for a laugh.
