Special school lunch

Diamond Fork Junior High teacher Sharon Youd Miya, on Monday received a Science Educator of the Year award from the Utah Museum of Natural History. Above, Ronnie Daniel, development director at the museum, Nedra Call, district curriculum director, and Utah Rep. Patrick Painter join Miya at a candlelight lunch in her recognition. The surprise lunch, which also included fine linens, silver and china, was held in the Spanish Fork school's lunch room. Several of the school's orchestra students serenaded Miya and her guests.
