PROVO People caring for an aging or disabled loved one are invited to attend an afternoon of healing and hope at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center's Clark Auditorium Nov. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Finding Hope and Healing, the 2007 Caregivers Conference, features keynotes by Wendy Ulrich, psychologist and founder of Sixteen Stones Center for Growth, and Carolyn Cameron, a registered nurse who has been a full-time caregiver for the past seven years. A panel discussion will include the two speakers as well as Dr. Gily Ionescu, an internal medicine physician; Geri Lahnardt, of Mountainland Aging and Family Services; and Ardice Lorscheider, a caregiver.
Participants will receive a binder with resources and support for caregivers and those they serve. Seating is limited. The event is free. To register call Intermountain University at 801-357-8735.
