KEARNS A fire destroyed a mobile home in Kearns Friday.
Just after 8:30 a.m., crews from the Unified Fire Authority were called to the Shadow Ridge Mobile Home Park near 5100 West and 4700 South. They arrived to find a home fully engulfed, said UFA Capt. Jay Torgersen.
The fire was out by 9 a.m. Investigators say the blaze started in the kitchen area. Two people reportedly lived in the trailer. Neither was home when the fire started, Torgersen said. A neighbor called 911 after spotting the fire.
The mobile home is considered a total loss, he said.
