The Davis County Democratic Party is sponsoring its third-annual Constitution essay contest, open to all eighth-grade students in the Davis School District.
Applications will be available beginning Wednesday from social studies teachers. The contest will close Dec. 18, and awards will be presented at a place and date to be determined.
Prizes totaling $1,000 in cash and United States savings bonds will be awarded. The subject of this year's essay is "Which Amendment to the Constitution is Most Important to You and Why?"
