5A quarterfinals playoffs

Alta 35, Timpanogos 28

Sausan Shakerin finished with four touchdowns on 33 carries for 155 yards and Derek Keller had five of the Hawks' nine sacks.

American Fork 41, Hunter 19

The game ended early after a fight broke out with two minutes left, but the Cavemen still had time to eclipse the 40-point mark as Jake Murphy had three catches for 88 yards and two touchdowns. American Fork had 324 total yards of offense.

Bingham 45, Davis 7

Logan Ludwig broke the game open in the third quarter with two defensive touchdowns in less than a minute as the Miners scored 28 points off turnovers. Sam Langi gained 210 yards on 27 carries with three touchdowns.

Layton 49, Skyline 0

Matt Putnam had three interceptions, including a 23-yard return for a touchdown to help the Lancers become the first team in 23 years to shut out the Eagles. Layton now advances to the semifinals for the first time since 1979.

4A quarterfinals playoffs

Mountain Crest 25, Bonneville 13

Sophomore Alex Knowles scored on a pair of rushing touchdowns in the first quarter, and the Mustangs made it hold up as they advanced to the semifinals for the second time in three years.

Pine View 13, Bountiful 10

The Panthers had 337 total yards compared to 157 for the Braves in coming back from 10 points down at the start the fourth quarter. For Pine View, Nick Marinko went 20-for-36 for 207 yards and two touchdowns and Travis Tate had 20 carries for 110 yards.

Sky View 45, Mountain View 23

McKade Brady scored two touchdowns, one 32-yard pass play and the other on a 60-yard interception return. Kyler Carlsen went 11-for-17 for 212 yards and one touchdown for Sky View. Sky View amassed 245 yards passing and 190 rushing, while the Bruins had 193 rushing yards and 55 passing yards.
