• Never warm up a vehicle or run a fueled engine in a garage, whether or not the garage door is open.
• Have any fuel-burning household equipment (fireplaces, furnaces, water heaters, wood stoves, ovens, range tops, etc.) checked at least once yearly for proper functioning.
• Have all vents and chimneys inspected and cleaned at least once per year.
• Never use charcoal or barbecue grills in an enclosed area, including carports, garages or inside a home.
• If you have a camper or travel trailer, install a CO sensor inside.
• Never run fuel-powered devices in camping locations without adequate ventilation.
• Never use fuel-powered equipment in a closed space.
