Parry's Power Guide: Sky View by 15

All-time series: Mountain View leads 1-0.

Last meeting: 1983 First round, Mountain View won 21-15.

These two teams haven't met since 1983, so just a couple of things have changed since then. While Sky View is thought of as a high-powered offensive team — and it is scoring nearly 30 points per-game with quarterback Kyler Carlsen, receiver Kyle Allen and running back J.D. Falslev all dangerous scoring options — the defense is what has truly separated the Bobcats this season.

Adam Weston is near the top of the state in tackles with 99 on the season. Kaden Anderson has collected 10 sacks and is a menace in the offensive backfield all the time. Weston and Brayden Compton have each collected three interceptions. The Bobcats have only allowed 29 points in their last four games. With an offense as potent as theirs, another defensive effort like that should be enough to get them through to Rice-Eccles.

The Bruins pulled off one of the huge upsets in the first round as they beat East. Greg May had a big day as he caught two touchdown passes from Mark Garrett and Marcus Draper made a 73-yard run that he called "one of the biggest of my life." Riding the momentum of that win, the team has the confidence that it can go on the road to a region champion and win.
