The voucher opponents are trying to win converts by spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt. Penny, from American Fork, stated that "charter schools will lose as much funding as public schools." Nothing could be further from the truth. People have taken their kids out of other public schools and moved them to charter schools for the same reason that people move their kids into private schools. The charter schools have waiting lists to get in and won't be losing funds because parents won't move their kids from a successful program. Public schools will be increasing funding per pupil if vouchers are used. The math is simple, read the bill. I'm for vouchers because my kids are in the public schools.
