The poll found that Becker is favored by 51 percent of Salt Lake City registered voters, with 33 percent saying they support Buhler. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percent.

In the three Salt Lake City Council races, JT Martin has raised the most money of any of the candidates, totaling nearly $40,000 in his campaign to fill Buhler's District 6 seat. Martin's competitor, Roger McConkie, has raised $26,500.

Martin has spent all but $2,300 of those funds, while McConkie, who collected 39.9 percent of votes in the primary to Martin's 31.2 percent, has a little more than $10,000 remaining.

In District 4, University of Utah political science professor Luke Garrott has raised nearly $24,000 in his bid to unseat two-time incumbent Nancy Saxton, who has raised $8,450.

District 2 challenger J. Michael Clara has received nearly $6,500 in contributions, while two-time incumbent Van Turner reports about $2,400 raised.
