Parry's Power Guide: Timpview by 31

All-time series: First meeting

The Timpview defense is downright scary. Take away a 28-point fourth quarter against Spanish Fork and the Thunderbirds give up an average of only four points a game. As it is they allow just over one touchdown. No team has been able to find a way to solve this swarming unit. Bronson Kaufusi is constantly in the backfield wreaking havoc, and even if a runner somehow finds a hole in the defensive line, the linebackers are fast and hard hitting.

While teams are having a tough time scoring, they are having just as hard of a time stopping the T-Birds. Mark Ercanbrack is an all-state caliber receiver and Quin Mecham has been deadly efficient. With the combination of both sides of the ball, there isn't any question Timpview deserves its No. 1 ranking.

Roy quarterback Luke Hobbs has been all-everything for the Royals leading them with 31 total touchdowns. His favorite targets have been Dallin Harris and Kyle Semrow, and Joe Sattlewhite has rushed for over 1,000 yards on the season. It is impressive what the Royals have done this year, but finding a way past this game will be tough.
