Parry's Power Guide: Kanab by 50

All-time series: Kanab leads 2-0.

Last meeting: 2006 regular season, Kanab won 73-8

Altamont coach Daniel Zabriskie has made great strides in his second year at the helm of the Longhorns, but his team is a major underdog in this Friday's quarterfinal against top-ranked Kanab. The Cowboys have a plus-21 scoring differential, whereas Altamont checks in at a minus-27 scoring differential.

Led by a host of talented players, Kanab can beat teams with the run or the pass. TJ Reidhead leads the team defensively with 68 tackles, and he's also excelled at quarterback completing 53 percent of his passes and eight touchdowns.

Altamont's only hope of keeping the game close is establishing the run with Talon Carter, who's racked up 783 yards this year. Waylon Thompson is a beast on defense with 99 tackles.
