PLAYER OF THE GAME

Harvey Unga
Freshman RB led the Cougars in rushing (145 yards, one TD) and receiving (four catches, 57 yards, TD).

PLAY OF THE GAME

After BYU sputters to a 21-7 halftime lead, Bryce Mahuika sparks a second-half surge by returning the opening kickoff 61 yards, setting up Manase Tonga's 7-yard touchdown run. Mahuika's 25-yard punt return to the EWU 17 sets up another.

KEY CALL

On a BYU fourth-down punt, EWU is called for three penalties — running into the punter, illegal block on the return and a dead-ball personal foul. BYU takes the first penalty to retain possession, refuses the second and accepts the third for a first down.

QUOTABLE

"It's not for me to say. If I do, they'll beat me up." — Harvey Unga, BYU running back when asked about the perception that a lot of his yards came on his own without the help of Cougar offensive linemen
