Parole denied for man who fired gun at trooper
In a brief decision released Wednesday, the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole scheduled another parole hearing for David Lynn Williams for June 2008.
Williams, 54, pleaded guilty but mentally ill to the 2002 shooting. Neither the trooper nor his family was hurt in the shooting.
Williams fled the scene and was shot by police as he stepped out of his car on I-15, holding a gun.
