Anderson will be the city's chief spokeswoman but will also have other duties, Billings said in a press release.

Anderson earned a law degree at Brigham Young University and practiced law at the Provo firm of Howard, Lewis and Peterson.

Most recently, Anderson has been the community relations director for the Utah Valley Homebuilders Association. She will begin working for Provo on Oct. 29.
