Big-D gets contract to build Hill AFB facility

Big-D Construction has been awarded a contract to build a fueled composite aircraft overhaul/test facility at Hill Air Force Base.

The 70,000-square-foot project is a design/build partnership with Architectural Nexus. The facility will be divided into three areas, including a paint booth building, flight test hangar and support area. Design meetings began in October with construction completion estimated for September 2009, Big-D said.
